I have experience with nonprofit communication. During my time as a communication intern at Active Transportation Alliance, a nonprofit that advocates for safer bike, pedestrian, and public transportation in Chicago, I wrote a variety of blogs for their website. I wrote a beginner's guide to Bike the Drive, a series on the updates and improvements being made to trails in the Chicagoland area, and a blog on the Plow the Sidewalks Piolet Program ordinance, which had recently passed in city council. Writing these blog posts strengthened my journalism skills and taught me how to write more accessibly by keeping a diverse audience in mind.
